Harry David Hall - Fine Artist Painter

 

Background

 

Harry David Hall lives and works in Northumberland. Born in 1959 in Manchester, UK, he began drawing and painting at an early age producing his first oils at the age of 9 and developing a love for the medium and the genesis of a painterly style.

 

As a professional artist he works mainly in oil but also in pastel and watercolour media. His passions are seascapes and landscapes painted ‘en plein air’. His oils consist mainly of landscapes which he paints in situ capturing the splendour of the changing light in the skies and the spirit of the subject and place. In addition to Northumbria he has worked extensively in the Peak District and Cornwall.

He has had exhibitions in Cambridge, Cornwall, Gloucestershire, Cumbria and Hexham.

 

Education

 

Studied Fine Art at Canterbury College of Art and Sheffield School of Art.

BA Hons Fine Art - Painting and printmaking Sheffield Hallam University

PGCE Art S2 QTS Cambridge University
